Summary

Shield by Falkin helps you check whether something looks like a scam, while collecting as little about you as possible. You do not create an account or sign in. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. We do not track you, we show no ads, and we never sell your data. What you check is processed anonymously and is never linked to you.

No account, no sign-in

Shield by Falkin works without an account. There is no login, no invite code, and no profile. We do not create or store any identifier that links your use of the app to you, your device, or an app install.

Information we process

• What you check. When you ask Falkin to check something — a link, message, phone number, screenshot, image, or file — what you submit is sent to our servers to analyze it and return a result. Each request is processed anonymously and is not linked to you, your device, or an app install.
• Diagnostics. We collect a small amount of anonymous, app-operation data (for example, that the app was launched) to keep the app reliable and understand overall usage. This never includes what you check or any personal information, and it is not linked to you.
• Network information. Like any internet service, our servers receive standard connection information such as your IP address when the app contacts them. We use this only to deliver the service and to keep it secure and free from abuse, as part of operating a safety and scam-prevention service. We do not use it to track you or build a profile.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise or background location, or any advertising identifier. The app contains no advertising and no third-party tracking. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use information

We use what you submit only to return your scam-check result. We use anonymous diagnostics only to keep the app reliable and understand overall usage. We never use your information for advertising or marketing, and we never sell it.

Sharing

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with data brokers. We rely on a small number of service providers that process data solely to provide their service to us, under instructions to protect it:

• Cloud hosting for the servers that analyze your checks.
• Better Stack for anonymous app diagnostics.

Retention and your choices

Because Shield by Falkin has no account and what you check is processed anonymously and not linked to you, we have no way to connect any data to a specific person, retrieve it for you, or delete an individual's data on request. Anonymous diagnostics are retained only as long as needed to keep the app reliable. If you have any question, contact support@falkin.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we operate the app without accounts and process your checks anonymously, we generally do not hold personal data that identifies you, and we cannot link any data back to you to action such a request. Where we process limited information such as IP addresses for security and abuse prevention, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safety and scam-prevention service. To exercise any right or ask a question, contact support@falkin.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect information while it is in transit between the app and our servers.

Children

Shield by Falkin is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the revised version at this URL with a new effective date.
